One of the most difficult things, at least from my point of view, is talking about himself. This section is the one that takes by far the most time when I have to write it. Nevertheless, I'll try to do my best.
My primary occupation is quite obvious the IT sector. From a private passion for working with computers raised a profession that nowadays is responsible for my living. I started already back in the mid-eighties in a time where a soldering-iron was necessary to assemble computers before they were usable. Many times the operating system was a simple programming language like BASIC. You had to program everything yourself but you have gotten on the other hand a really good insight into how a computer technically work. This was, in the end, a really good experience for me and still helps me in solving actual IT problems.
But, the ravages of time nibbles on me as well and this has also an effect on my profession. Nowadays I work as an SAP solution architect and my daily tasks move more away from pure technical problem solving towards to project leading, designing and contract tasks. The good thing is that these constant moves keep your mindset fresh and you learn a lot of new things every day. This is definitely challenging but worth doing it.
Besides my profession, I like playing around with open source, especially in the Linux area. As a result, a lot of my projects origin in the Linux area. You'll find them if you click on projects in the upper left or if you visit my website thbe.org. On the non-IT front, I enjoy driving a motorcycle, since some years also on the racetrack which is really a big fun. More information about that hobby can also be found on my website thbe.org.
